In a breach of employment contract action, order dismissing plaintiff's third amended complaint is affirmed as to plaintiff's promissory estoppel claim pursuant to sections 2-615(a) and 2-619(a)(9) of the Illinois Code of Civil Procedure. The order is dismissed as to the breach of contract claim where mere continued employment, standing alone, does not constitute consideration supporting the unilateral modification of an existing employment contract, and the matter is remanded for further proceedings.
