Appellate Court of Illinois
People v. Davis, 2060319
In a conviction for first-degree murder while attempting to commit an armed robbery (felony murder), granting of defendant's petition for relief under the Post-Conviction Hearing Act is affirmed where: 1) defendant's claim of ineffective assistance was or could have been addressed on direct appeal and, therefore, defendant's claim is barred by the doctrines of waiver and res judicata; and 2) even if the claim is not so barred, it lacks merit.
