Appellate Court of Illinois

In re: Guardianship of J.D., 1063069

In an appeal from the circuit court's orders temporarily removing appellant as coguardian of his adult disabled child, the appeal is dismissed for lack of jurisdiction where the court cannot, on its own initiative, extend its jurisdiction to encompass disabled persons past the age of majority where Supreme Court Rule 306(a)(5) limits such jurisdiction to unemancipated minors.
