Appellate Court of Illinois

People v. Carroll, 2051096

In a conviction for armed robbery where the sentence was enhanced based on the court's finding that the offense was accompanied by "exceptionally brutal and heinous behavior clearly indicative of wanton cruelty," dismissal of defendant's motion to vacate his guilty plea and reconsider his sentence is affirmed over claim that the trial court's order denying defendant's motion to withdraw his guilty plea is void based on the fact that defendant's attorney failed to file a Supreme Court Rule 604(d) certificate.
