Appellate Court of Illinois
Cinkus v. Village of Stickney Mun. Officers Electoral Bd., 1-07-0700
Reversal of the respondent's decision that found petitioner ineligible to candidacy because petitioner owed money to the village is reversed where the disqualifying language in section 3.1-10-5(b) shows an intention by the legislature to preclude anyone who is in arrears to the municipality from running for office.
