Extraordinary writ petitions cannot be used to circumvent the jurisdictional requirements for discretionary review under article V, section 3(b)(3) of the Florida Constitution. Specifically, the ruling in Gandy v. State, 846 So. 2d 1141, 1144 (Fla. 2003), cannot be circumvented by the filing of a petition for an extraordinary writ.
