Supreme Court of Florida
Florida Bar v. Martinez-Genova, SC04-2365
Following review of a recommendation that an attorney be found guilty of professional misconduct and suspended from the practice of law, the court approves factual findings with regard to guilt on all violations including misappropriation of funds, failing to maintain proper trust accounting procedures, and arrests for cocaine use and possession. However, the court disapproves the recommended discipline of suspension and instead orders her disbarred from practice as the suspension was insufficient due to the serious violations she committed.
