Koile v. State of Florida, SC05-132

Florida Statutes section 775.089 does not authorize a restitution award for the lost wages of a next of kin voluntarily attending the murder trial of the person accused of killing the victim. However, Florida Statutes section 775.089 authorizes a restitution award for the estate of a murder victim of an amount consisting of the lost future income of the victim.
