District Court of Appeal of Florida
L.R. v. State of Florida, 2D05-5505
An adjudication of delinquency based on a finding that a juvenile battered a law enforcement officer and the resulting commitment are affirmed in part, but reversed as to the commitment where the trial court's reasons for disregarding the Department of Juvenile Justice's contrary recommendation -- that adjudication be withheld and that she be put on indefinite probation -- were insufficient.
