District Court of Appeal of Florida

Austin v. McDonough, 1D06-2000

Denial of mandamus relief, involving the rejection of a prisoner's grievances filed after he was disciplined for pleading no contest to charges that he disrespected a prison employee, is affirmed where competent, substantial evidence supported a finding that petitioner did not place his administrative appeals into the hands of prison officials until after the time for appeal had expired. Orders imposing liens on his trust account, however, are vacated.
