District Court of Appeal of Florida
Rasmussen v. Collier County Publ'g Co., 2D05-6144
Summary judgment for defendants in a libel suit brought by an entrepreneur who established ESPN, finding that articles and editorials about which he complained were not false and were otherwise protected speech under the fair report privilege or as opinion, is affirmed where the trial court correctly concluded no genuine issue of material fact remained for trial and defendant-news publisher was entitled to judgment in its favor as a matter of law.
