District Court of Appeal of Florida
Armor Corr. Health Servs., Inc. v. Ault, 4D06-2809
A petition for certiorari review of an order in a criminal case requiring petitioner to follow a specific medical protocol to document the administration of a defendant's psychotropic medication is granted where the trial court had no authority to dictate how petitioner carries out the sheriff's duty to provide medical care to jail inmates, and thus the order constitutes a departure from the essential requirements of law which will materially injure petitioner and there was no other relief available to it.
