District Court of Appeal of Florida
Village of Wellington v. Palm Beach County, 4D05-2666
An order upholding an ordinance approved by a county commission seeking to amend the county's charter involving voluntary annexation by severing portions found to be invalid is affirmed where the trial court correctly interpreted a subsection to allow charter counties to provide their own method of voluntary annexation, and did not err in attempting to sever the unconstitutional portions from the charter amendment.
