District Court of Appeal of Florida

Montello v. Montello, 3d05-1615

Contempt order in a dissolution case is reversed where contempt orders cannot contain both civil and criminal elements, but an award of attorney's fees is affirmed over the husband's argument that the court lacked jurisdiction where the Florida Supreme Court's decision in Amendments to the Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure (Rule 12.525), 897 So. 2d 467, applied to cases pending at the time of decision and gave the court jurisdiction.
