A first-degree murder conviction and life sentence is affirmed over waived or meritless claims of error regarding: 1) denial of a request to strike the jury panel; 2) introduction of the victim-s dying declaration; 3) prosecutorial misconduct; 4) admission of evidence that defendant had just returned home from prison; and 5) defendant's speedy trial right.
