Sankar v. State of Florida, 4D05-1002

A conviction and sentence for aggravated battery arising from a fight at a bar is reversed where the trial court erred in allowing a police officer to testify that a non-appearing witness' statement, the only person on the scene to come forward, was "consistent with what took place."
