District Court of Appeal of Florida

In workers' compensation cases, a fee award must be based on the value of the benefits actually obtained on behalf of the claimant. An award of attorney's fees in a workers' compensation case is affirmed where the judge of compensations claims correctly concluded that a statute required him to award an attorney-s fee of twenty percent of the benefit counsel secured on behalf of his client.
