Supreme Court of Delaware

Robinson v. State, 10, 2009

Defendant's weapon possession conviction is affirmed where 1) defendant did not ask to participate in a sidebar conference at trial, and accordingly, the trial judge did not rule that defendant was excluded from the conference; 2) it was unlikely that the jury's perception that defendant was representing himself was harmed by his failure to participate in the sidebar; and 3) the steak knife possessed by defendant constituted a deadly weapon.
