Supreme Court of Delaware

Hudson v. State of Delaware, 429, 2007

Convictions on drug and firearms charges are affirmed over objections regarding a chief investigating officer's testimony as an expert witness, specifically that: 1) he should not have been allowed to testify as both a fact witness and an expert witness; 2) he was not qualified to be an expert witness, his expert testimony was not required, and he was inherently biased; and 3) the state should not have been allowed, during trial, to "educate" him about how to testify as an expert witness.
