Supreme Court of Delaware
Edwards v. State of Delaware, 295, 2006
A conviction for first degree murder and a related count is reversed where the trial judge abused her discretion by limiting a cellmate's testimony regarding defendant's out-of-court statements, because such testimony was offered to contradict and impeach another cellmate's statements recounting defendant's admitting to the murder, and not for the truth of the matter.
