Superior Court of Delaware

Buchanan v. Gay, 06C-01-002

In an action brought by plaintiff setting forth various tort and additional claims against his former wife, and her lawyer and his law firm, the court rules against plaintiff on various motions and finds: 1) that the absolute privilege barred his claims based on pleadings filed, statements made, and actions taken by defendant in connection with litigation in which he represented plaintiff's former wife; 2) plaintiff's civil rights claims failed; and 3) plaintiff lacked standing to recover from alleged breaches of state rules of professional conduct.
