People v. Buycks, 231765

Interpreted a section of the California Penal Code that permits individuals previously convicted of felony offenses that Proposition 47 reduced to misdemeanors to petition to have such felony convictions resentenced or redesignated as misdemeanors. Three individuals who had been convicted of felonies sought relief under this provision (section 1170.18). Granting review, the California Supreme Court clarified the effect of Proposition 47 on felony-based sentence enhancements.
