In an appeal from a judgment of the appeals court affirming a denial of plaintiffs' Section 1021.5 application for attorney's fees, judgment is reversed where the court erred by concluding that the defendant did nothing adverse to the public interest, and that plaintiffs' appeal did not involve an important right affecting the public interest.
