A civil commitment proceeding under the Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) Act, section 1650 et. seq., is not authorized as to an individual whose conviction, which was the basis of his prison custody at the time SVP proceedings were initiated, has been reversed, and who has not been retried and reconvicted.
