Supreme Court of California

Reigelsperger v. Siller, S131664

Denial of a motion to stay litigation and compel arbitration is reversed where an arbitration agreement, signed when a chiropractor first treated patient, applied to a medical malpractice claim arising from treatment for a different condition two years later because the agreement stated it was "intended to bind the patient and health care provider...who now or in the future treat[s] the patient."
