WALKER v. LA COUNTY METRO. TRANSP. AUTH., S123853

When a party's notice of appeal states only that the appeal is from the order denying a new trial, the Court of Appeal should treat the notice as an appeal from the underlying judgment as long as it is reasonably clear what appellant was trying to appeal from.
