PEOPLE v. ADAIR, S098218

On appeal from a trial court finding of factual innocence after acquittal of criminal charges, an appellate court should defer to trial court factual findings to the extent they are supported by substantial evidence, but must independently determine whether defendant has established that no reasonable cause exists to believe he or she committed the offense charged.
