ESBERG v. UNION OIL CO. OF CALIFORNIA, S096524

California's Fair Employment and Housing Act's prohibition against age discrimination in employment does not extend to the furnishing of employee benefits such as educational assistance, and an employer need not ignore an employee's age in deciding whether to fund his or her education.
