STYNE v. STEVENS, S086787

Under Labor Code section 1700.44(c), the one-year limitations period contained in the Talent Agencies Act does not prevent an entertainer from asserting an Act-based defense against alleged talent agent's suit for breach of contract, but the entertainer must submit her claim to the labor commissioner before raising the defense.
