Symmonds v. Mahoney, 283529

Held that a rock star's decision to terminate his drummer implicated free speech rights. The fired drummer alleged that he was let go because of his age, disability or medical condition. Concluding that the rock star's decision was protected conduct, the California Court of Appeal reversed and remanded for further proceedings on the 80s-era star's (Eddie Money) anti-SLAPP motion.
