California Court of Appeal
Sandoval v. Qualcomm Inc., 070431
Upheld a finding that a large company was liable for the electrocution injuries suffered by an employee of a subcontractor who was working at a cogeneration plant on the company's campus, on the ground that the company retained control over the safety conditions and was negligent. Affirmed the denial of the company's JNOV motion; also affirmed that the company was entitled to a new trial limited to the issue of apportionment of fault.
