California Court of Appeal
People v. Booth, 054999
Affirmed a conviction and sentence on charges of child sexual abuse and child pornography. The defendant argued that he did not deserve to be convicted of preparing pornographic images of a minor (Penal Code section 311.4) because that statute, properly interpreted, did not apply to what he did. The Fourth Appellate District disagreed. The panel also rejected his argument that the district court erroneously imposed consecutive sentences.
