California Court of Appeal
P. v. Flint, 144631
Affirming the admission of expert witness testimony about case specific facts and rejecting the argument that due process rights required reversal in the commission of a man to an indeterminate term in the custody of the California Department of State Hospitals after a jury found a man a sexually violent predator under the Sexually Violent Predators Act, but remanding to provide the People an opportunity to justify the differential treatment regarding whether sexually violent predators may be called as witnesses in their commitment hearings as opposed to those who claim to be not guilty by reason of insanity.
