Reversing the conviction of a man for two subdivisions of the animal cruelty statute because the same conduct could not be the basis for the conviction on both subdivisions and improperly convicting the defendant of arson in an unsettling case of a man who beat, killed, and set fire to his girlfriend's parents' dog.
