California Court of Appeal

P. v. Partee, 276040

Affirming the jury conviction for contempt and four counts of being an accessory after the fact of a woman who refused to testify against four individuals in the case of a gang-related murder, despite a grant of immunity to that charge, because the admission into evidence of statements she made to a detective did not violate her Fifth Amendment rights and her refusal to testify was an affirmative act supporting her conviction as an accessory.
