California Court of Appeal

In Re Christopher Lee White, 073054

Denying a petition for writ of habeas corpus in the case of the pretrial detention of a man without bail who was accused of attempted kidnapping with the intent to commit rape, assault with intent to commit rape, contact with a minor with intent to commit a sexual offense, and false imprisonment because, while it is unusual to hold a non-capital offender without bail, the California Constitution provides exception for those accused of felony acts of violence, felony sexual assault offenses, and other grounds applicable to this circumstance.
