California Court of Appeal

P. v. Aledamat, 282911

Reversing the conviction of a man for assault with a deadly weapon in the case of a man who propositioned a woman working in a lunch truck and threatened her husband with a box cutter when she turned him down because a box cutter is not an inherently deadly weapon as it is designed to cut things, not people, creating a legal rather than a factual error in the standards presented to the jury.
