California Court of Appeal

P. v. Baker, 071383

Affirming the conviction and sentence of a man to the mandatory minimum sentence, which the lower court had expressed the opinion was excessive in the case of an older man who lacked a significant criminal record, convicted of committing a sexual assault on a child, but the appellate court found that an indefinite term of life imprisonment for the offense was not so disproportionate as to be unconstitutional.
