California Court of Appeal
P. v. Henderson, 083153
Affirming a trial court order of restitution in the case of a man who pleaded no contest to charges of stalking, vandalism, and disobeying a court order that had included the cost of the purchase and installation of a home security system because although the crimes were not a violent felony, which could potentially make such an expense mandatory, the court retained discretion to compensate for a range of damages arising from the criminal behavior, even if not specifically enumerated in the statute.
