In the People's writ petition challenging the court's transfer of real party in interest's case from Adult court to juvenile court, the petition is granted where Proposition 57, which eliminated the People's ability to directly file criminal charges against a juvenile defendant in a court of criminal jurisdiction, does not apply to a pending case that the People directly filed in Adult Court against real party in interest several years prior to the effective date of the new law.
