People v. Garrett, 067436

Defendants' (minors tried as adults) sentences and convictions of second degree robbery, Pen. Code section 211), kidnapping for robbery, section 209(b)(1), attempted robbery, sections 211 and 664, and assault with a firearm, section 245(a)(2), are: 1) affirmed as to convictions; and 2) remanded as to sentencing to the trial court for the limited purpose of determining whether defendants have had an adequate opportunity to make a record of mitigating evidence that will be relevant at a future youth offender parole hearing, in light of People v. Franklin (2016) 63 Cal.4th 261.
