San Joaquin County Correctional v. County of San Joaquin, 079413

In an action over government pensions, challenging defendant county's elimination of its cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) contribution toward plaintiff employees' half-share of COLA payments to their pensions, the trial court's judgment for defendant is affirmed where the County Employees Retirement Law of 1937 permits the county to reduce its COLA pickup and no provision of the California Public Employees' Pension Reform Act of 2013 prevents it.
