California Court of Appeal
Madrigal v. Victim Compensation & Govt. Claims Bd., 265105
In an administrative mandate action, challenging defendant board's denial of petitioner's compensation claim for wrongful imprisonment following a conviction for attempted murder, the trial court's judgment is reversed where the board was bound by the findings of the federal district court's order granting petitioner's habeas corpus petition and it was reasonably probable that consideration of those findings would have led the board to award compensation.
