In a case in which a driver was making a left turn at an intersection in the City of Atwater when she struck and killed a pedestrian in a crosswalk, the trial court's denial of the City's motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict (JNOV), on the ground that the design immunity defense of Government Code section 830.6 shielded it from liability, is reversed where the design immunity defense insulates the City from liability for any dangerous condition of the intersection.
