California Court of Appeal

In re Charlotte V., 269633

In a Mother's appeal from the termination of her parental rights over her daughter, on the ground the juvenile court failed to comply with the strict notice requirements specified in the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA), 25 U.S.C. section 1901 et seq. and Welf. & Inst. Code section 224, the juvenile court orders are affirmed where Mother did not raise the issue below and the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) now lacks that opportunity.
