In a murder case, the trial court's recusal of the entire Orange County District Attorney's (OCDA) office from prosecuting defendant's penalty phase, after he pled guilty to eight counts of murder, is affirmed where: 1) the court recused the OCDA only after lengthy evidentiary hearings where it heard a steady stream of evidence regarding improper conduct by the prosecution team; and 2) to suggest the trial judge prejudged the case is reckless and grossly unfair.
