In a criminal action, the trial court's grant of defendant's pretrial motion to suppress evidence is reversed where: 1) the officer's approaching defendant and asking her for identification did not constitute a detention; 2) the search of defendant's purse for identification was lawful under Arizona v. Gant, 556 U.S. 332 (2009).
