California Court of Appeal

People v. Woods, 269253

Defendant's declaration as an Mentally Disordered Offender (MDO) based on his conviction of resisting an executive officer, Pen. Code section 69, an offense not specifically enumerated in the MDO Act but establishd on evidence that defendant pled guilty to a complaint expressly alleging that he used force and violence in committing the offense, is affirmed over defendant's claim that People v. Stevens (2015) 62 Cal.4th 325, renders this evidence insufficient to support his MDO commitment.
