In a suit for quantum meruit, seeking to recover the fair value of the services plaintiff had rendered over the course of a contractual engagement with defendant's company, the trial court's grant of defendant's special motion to strike pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure section 425.16, the anti-SLAPP statute, is affirmed where: 1) the first prong of the anti-SLAPP prong has been satisfied; and 2) plaintiff stated in his reply brief that defendant's discussion of the second prong should be disregarded.
