Findleton v. Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians, 142560

In a dispute between a construction contractor plaintiff and an Indian Tribe defendant, the trial court's judgment, that it lacked jurisdiction over plaintiff's claims because there had been no valid waiver of the Tribe's sovereign immunity, is reversed where the Tribal Council was authorized to, and did, waive the Tribe's sovereign immunity for purposes of arbitrating disputes arising under the Tribe's contracts with plaintiff.
